A Midshipman at Crimea, Tony Green
Tony’s story is of his ancestor, Charles William Thomas Cookesley, witness after the fact of the Charge of the Light Brigade. Originally from Boulogne-sur-mer, this privileged doctor’s son started as a midshipman in Crimea but failed on the Australian goldfields.
